* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 834 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Ft Pillow, or 7 miles west of Ripley, moving
northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Edith, Ripley, Newbern, Gibson Wells, Fowlkes, Lapata, Bonicord,
Central, Nutbush, Luckett, Rohoboth, Forked Deer, Brazil, Maury
Junction, Halls, Edgewood, Poplar Grove, Dyersburg, Crockett
Mills, Parker, and Curve.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a storm shelter or an interior room on the
lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are
outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest
substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

At 839 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Chestnut Bluff to near Haynes, moving northeast
at 65 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Three Forks, Burlison, Horn Lake, Louise, New Castle, Covington,
Edmondson, Osceola, Presidents Island, Beck, Glover, Locke,
Arlington, Elmore Park, Alden, Village Creek State Park, Julius,

Arkansas...northwestern Mississippi...and west Tennessee.

At 831 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Clayton to near Cloverdale to Unionville, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Dyer, Grizzard, South Fulton, Newbern, Fowlkes, Lapata, Bonicord,
Ralston, Shaffner, Rohoboth, Terrell, Currie, Georgetown, Edgewood,

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for west
Tennessee.

* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Farmland near the river is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 2.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late
tomorrow morning to 12.0 feet early Friday afternoon. Pay
close attention to subsequent forecasts as multiple days of
rain will impact the crest and duration of the flooding. The
river will likely remain elevated through at least the
weekend.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
